What to do during your stay?

With all the comforts and views the house provides, the animals to say hello to plus the paddocks, dams, river and creek to explore, you will most likely find you have no desire to leave the property once you arrive. However, if you are the type to get out and about there's no better place to explore than the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. With the best in local produce just minutes away you may just find you wish you had more time!

Kenilworth

Take a right out of the driveway and within 10 minutes you'll come across Fig Tree Walk, a super easy (flat and bitumen sealed path and some timber boardwalk) and relaxing walk through a lush riverine rainforest. You can also access the Mary River from here.

On the opposite side of the road, you will see the turn off for Booloumba Creek. A great spot for camping or just a day trip to check out the creek and surrounds. Please note - you do need a 4wd to access this area!

No 4wd? No problem! Keep driving towards Kenilworth and you'll soon come across the exit for Charlie Moreland Park and campground. Another beautiful location to go for a swim, see more local wildlife and walk through the bushland and it is all accessible by a conventional vehicle.

National Parks your thing? Check out Conondale National Park for some stunning trails!

Keen to walk on more solid ground? Keep driving another 5 minutes and you'll reach the town of Kenilworth. A beautiful country town that has a lot on offer. With the famous Kenilworth Bakery (be super to enter the 1kg donut challenge!), the Kenilworth Dairy (stock up on cheese to take back to the house), Big Boss Chocolate Co. (who needs a reason to buy chocolate?), McGinn's of Kenilworth (stop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a coffee) you'll be needing an extra suitcase just to take your tasty treats back to the house! Can't wait? Why not grab a coffee/ice cream/donut/pie to go and head across to the massive park and playground area (which also hosts markets on Saturdays). Let the kids burn off some energy while you can sit and enjoy the sunshine. The town also has the essentials like a pharmacy, a friendly grocer, bottle-o and some boutique country clothing and homeware shops. For a little town there's a lot to see and do (and taste!). Don't forget to pick up a pizza or two to take back for dinner.

With numerous cafes, restaurants, bookstores, clothing and accessories shops, art gallery, live music, Sunday farmers markets, an IGA and Woolworths, giftware and local produce you could spend all day wandering the streets!
